CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — The Jackson County Fair will be open at the Expo from Wednesday to Sunday and temperatures are expected to rise into the triple digits.

Jackson County Fire District 3 will be running the medic area at the Expo and said they see quite a few people coming in with heat-related illness during these kinds of events.

A paramedic with Fire Dist. 3 said the most important thing to do in the hot weather is to stay hydrated. To help fairgoers stay cool, the Expo has a misting station, a cooling trailer and multiple water stations located throughout the fairgrounds.
